Ty Powdwr working meet

Skipperdave

This is your chance to show our beautiful hut the love it needs!

Join the team for the Autumn Work Meet. Jobs for everyone, great company, free stay in the hut and food laid on prepared by our talented team of chefs (might have got carried away there).

Here's the list of jobs so far identified by our hut manager. If there's something you've spotted that you think needs fixing/improving this could be your chance to do something about it:

The track - a perennial problem, especially erosion around the slope inside the first gate.

Clean extractor fans

Clean windows, especially kitchen

Change mattress covers

Deep clean floors, stairs and bathrooms

Replace "No Parking" poster outside bike shed

Repaint inside crockery cupboard

(not an exhaustive list)

Not a very glamorous list but if you've been to a work meet before you'll know how much fun it is to get stuck in on even the most menial task with a load of your KMC friends. If you haven't then come along and find out why people keep coming back to work hard for no pay at the weekend. You'll be glad you did!

The Friday and Saturday nights in the hut are free to volunteers.

Lunch and evening meal are provided.

The food will be primarily plant based but there will be some dairy/meat options available.

If you have any food intolerances or alergies please let the meet leaders know when you book in.

Please indicate your intention to attend so that

1 you can be sure of a bed,

2 we can plan work around numbers

3 so we prepare enough food.

We look forward to seeing you there
