Blaenau Ffestiniog & the Moelwyns
Please contact the meet leader or the club.
Explore the southern end of Eryri with a weekend near Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Stay at Dan-Y-Mynydd - Lancashire Climbing & Caving Club hut in Tanygrisiau, £16 pppn.
Climbing in the The Moelwyns - Climbing Crag – single and multi-pitch trad on rhyolite (grippy even when damp, apparently) including routes up to around VS on Clogwyn yr Oen, Craig Yr Wrysgan or Craig y Clipiau for up to E5.
For walkers, there’s the Moelwyns and Cnicht including 6 of top highest 100 hills in Wales (bagging alert) or mooching around the old slate quarries with the potential for a dip in Llyn Cwmorthin.
And if that’s not enough, there’s MTB, Zip World (it says you can go cave trampolining??) or steam trains in the unlikely event that it rains in Wales in July.
Book early to avoid disappointment as the hut sleeps 11. Payment will be needed 2 weeks in advance of the meet.
